Reverend Dr. Denton Roscoe Parker, Sr., 86, resident of  Twin City,Georgia  died Sunday at his residence.  Reverend Parker was born in Columbus,Georgia son of the late Samuel Clinton Parker and Martha Estell Linn Parker. He received his masters in education and Doctor of Ministry from North Tennessee Bible Institute.  Dr. Parker was a teacher and a minister. He had served as pastor for the Stillmore United Methodist Church and was a United States Navy Veteran.  He was a Fisher of Men. He was preceded in death by his brother-Donese Parker and 2 sisters- Clinnell Parker Hogan Broussard and Racille P. Stringfellow.

Funeral services for Reverend Dr. Denton Roscoe Parker ,Sr. will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Dr. James M. Ford, Reverend Russ Lowe and Reverend Ros Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Stillmore City Cemetery with Military Honors .Pallbearers will be Brandon Lowe, Roscoe Parker, Chesley Johnson, Josh Parker,Jared Lowe,Tucker Parker,Hunter Parker,Zeke Parker, Javan Parker and Baylor Parker.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kade Lee, Jacob Anderson, Josh Rosendahl, Landon Butler,Chris Wooldridge, and Keith Wooldridge.  The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Wednesday beginning at 12 Noon until the service at 2:00 P.M.

Dr. Parker is survived by --wife Mary Parker

Daughter-Maggie Parker Lowe(Russ) and their family-Brandon Lowe(Crystal)and their children Emmitt and Beckham.   Heather Anderson(Jacob)  , Jared Lowe

Son- Denton Roscoe Parker, Jr. (Joy) and their children- Denton Roscoe Parker ,III(Victoria) , Denton Roscoe Parker IV, Josh Parker (Amanda), Kristi Butler(Landon), Savannah and Zeke Parker.

Son -- William Bryan Parker(Cecilia) and their family-- Nikki Rosendahl(Josh)and their son Noah.

Dorie Johnson(Rayburn) and their family-- Chesley Johnson(Gena) and their son Brennan, Paige Lee(Kade) and their children Avie Pate and Dansby.

Son-- Patrick Parker(Shelly) and their family--Tucker, Javan, and Baylor
