May 7,2014 Mrs. Daisy Driggers Barton Atkinson, 92, resident of Twin City ,Georgia died Wednesday morning at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro,Georgia. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Evans County Georgia, daughter of the late James and Maude Driggers. Mrs. Atkinson was also preceded in death by her husbands Lester Barton and Tom Atkinson, 2 sonsJames Barton and Monroe Barton, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. She had worked for Twin City Manufacturing and was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Atkinson enjoyed sewing and quiltmaking. She also enjoyed baking. Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy B. Atkinson will be held Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Cross and Reverend Buddy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Old Canoochee Cemetery . Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Barton, James Barton, Johnny Baker, Tim Baker, Jamie Johnson , and Wallace Driggers.
