Cheryl Scarbrough Martin, 71, resident of Swainsboro, died Sunday morning at her residence .  Cheryl was born in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Jack Scarbrough.  Cheryl had retired  as a Registered Nurse, BSN with over 44 years of service.  She was a member of Laura Chapel Baptist Church in Patterson, Georgia .  She also was a member of the VFW ladies Auxillary and the Georgia Nursing Association. She had lived here in Swainsboro since 2013 moving from Patterson, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son William Scott Herring,  brother Earl G. Scarbrough and sister Sandra "Sandy" Jane Scarbrough.

Visitation for Cheryl Scarbrough Martin will be held Tuesday afternoon at Tomlinson Funeral Home between the hours of  3-5 P.M.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105  in memory of Cheryl Martin.

Survivors include her husband--Joby R. Martin

Daughter-- Cherae Herrin(Winton)

Son--Henry Herring(Rachael)

16 grandchildren,15 greatgrandchildren
