Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. Charles Edwin Hood age 90 of Swainsboro on Friday, July 31, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Hood was born in Emanuel County to the late Joe and Marie Jones Hood. He was a retired salesman. Mr. Charles was a member of Kingdom Hall or Jehovah’s Witnesses in Swainsboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Billie Hood, and brothers Wadell Hood and Jerry Hood.

Survivors include:

His Daughter: Terri Murray (Brock) of Kite

His Son: Tim Hood of Swainsboro

Granddaughters: Anna Boatright (Will) of Swainsboro, Avery Williams of Macon, Janessa Arellanes (Abdi) of Swainsboro, Jennifer Corbin (Randell) of Lawrenceville.

Great-Grandchildren: Jude Kersey, Nora Kersey, Luca Arellanes

Sisters: Susie Coleman (Frank) of Kite, Frances Kitchens of Smith’s Station, AL

Brother: Robert Hood (Ann) of Kite

Many Nieces, Nephews and extended family.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The family will receive friends at Kingdom Hall one hour prior to the time of services.
