January 20,2014 Mrs. Carlene Leaptrott Russell-Hall ,76, resident of Wadley,Georgia, died Monday evening at her residence . Mrs. Russell was born in Washington County daughter of the late Carl and Rubye Leaptrott. Carlene graduated from Wadley High School and went on to achieve a Bachelor's and Master"s degree from Georgia Southern University. The majority of her career was spent in Wadley as an elementary school teacher. She was a faithful member of Wadley Baptist Church. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association. Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Leaptrott Russell -Hall will be held Thursday, January 23,2014 at 2 :00 P.M. from the Wadley Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Harrison and Reverend Gene McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wadley Baptist Church in memory of Carlene. The Family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home Wednesday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.. Survivors include -Husband - Gene Hyland Hall,Sr. ChildrenMichael Phillip Russell and Jefferson Carlton Russell Step childrenJoseph Brian Hall, Melissa Ann Beckworth, and Gene Hyland Hall, Jr. 7 grandchildren 2 greatgrandchildren.
