Caleb Lindsey Womack III, 71, of Wadley passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at his residences. Mr. Womack was born on June 4th, 1949 to the late Caleb Lindsey Womack, Jr. and Joyce Womack Chavous of Summertown. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kirk Womack; and daughter, Sylvia Lynn Womack. After retiring from working with Carroll Tire in Atlanta for 25 years, Mr. Womack worked in wholesale Tire Sales for GA Tire in Vidalia until recently before his passing. He always loved horses, rebuilding cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a member of Blundale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ellyn May Womack of Wadley; son, Samuel Womack of Byron, Ga.; and daughters, Kristle Womack Wheeler (Chris) of Swainsboro, Mary Blalock (Taylor) of Augusta; Anna Baggs (Randy) of Augusta. Grandchildren include Peyton Chance Taylor of Swainsboro, Ga; Julia Belle Blalock, Jane Katherine Blalock, and Ellyn Baggs all of Augusta, Ga. and sister, Karen W. Martin.
A  private graveside service for  the family will be held on Sunday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery in Wadley, Ga with Pastor Shannon Boula officiating. CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are strongly encouraged for your safety and others. Mr. Womack felt very strongly about preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Pallbearers for the service will include Taylor Blalock; Ken Smith; Mitch Smith; Chris Oglesby; Larry Thompson; Joe Kirkland; and honorary pallbearer, Bill Kirkland.
