Mr. Bobby Ray Newman, 89, resident of Swainsboro, died Wednesday morning at Community Hospice House in Vidalia. Mr. Newman was a native and lifelong resident of Emanuel County . Mr. Bobby was a painting contractor and a member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church . He was preceded in death by his parents-Edward Dillard Newman and Lona Neal Newman, his wife of 63 years- Mary Helen Newman, his son-John E. Newman and his brother -Ed Newman , Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery . Pallbearers will be: Sid Shepherd, Billy Sasser, Bobby Sasser, Bill McWhorter, Jim Curry, Wyatt Rich, and Andy Worthington. The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home from 10:00 A. M. Saturday until the funeral at 11:00 A.M.

Fay N. Tyus (Ben), Cochran , GA

Daughter in Law-- Dianne K. Newman, Swainsboro , GA

Grandchildren--Matt Newman(Kathleen), Mandy M. Caldwell (Danny)

Shelby L. McLeod, Elizabeth T. Peavy (Seth), Emily Tyus

Great grandchildren--Brooklyn Newman, and Nick Newman
