Bobby Oscar Gay, 81, died Sunday evening at Emanuel County Nursing Home.  Mr. Gay was born in Candler County, son of the late Curtis Watson Gay and Inez Wren Gay. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mildred Monroe.   He had worked for Union Camp for 39 years.  He and his wife had been married for over 60 years.   Mr. Bobby was a member of Nunez Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from the Nunez Baptist Church  with Reverend Jim Harrell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Youmans Cemetery in Nunez.  Pallbearers will be nephews.  The Family will receive  friends at Nunez Baptist Church  one hour prior to the service at 2:00 P.M.

Survivors include his wife-- Vandilla Snellgrove Gay

son-- Kevin B. Gay(Beth)

grandson-- Steven Gay

Many half siblings survive
