OBITUARY

Blanche  Kersey Powell, 87, resident of Adrian, died Tuesday morning at  Emanuel County Nursing Home.  Blanche was born in Emanuel County daughter of the late Lewis Elgin Kersey and Hattie Horton Kersey.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Moses Powell.  She had lived in Waynesboro for 40 years before moving to Adrian  and was a homemaker .  Blanche was a member of Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Powell will be held Friday , November 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Calvin Watkins and Elder Tommy Rountree  officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be-Liam Hodges, Spencer Patterson, Kurt Dzwonski, "Ski" Dzwonski, Steven Edwards, Dwayne Edwards.   The Family  will receive friends at the church  one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include-- 2 sons-- Hilton(Shannon) Powell , Summerville, SC

Roger James Powell--  Enterprise, Alabama

2 grandchildren-- Liam Hodges and Jackson Powell

2 brothers-- Lewis Kersey, Adrian, GA

Donnie Kersey, Swainsboro , GA

many nieces and nephews
