Coleman, 71, resident of Swainsboro, died Thursday morning, June 20, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Coleman was born in Akin County SC., but had lived in Emanuel County for the past 47 years. Mrs. Coleman was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. She had worked for Roper for 41 years and the Emanuel County School System in the Lunch Room. Memorials may be made to the Swainsboro First Baptist Church, P.O.240, Swainsboro, Ga. 30401, in memory of Mrs. Betty Elizabeth H. Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Hancock, a son, Bud Archie Coleman, a sister Leila Shaw, and 5 brothers; Odell, Hugh, James, Franklin, and Joseph Hancock. Graveside services will be Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2013, at 2:00P.M. at Lambs Cemetery with Reverend Lamar Kersey, Reverend Rusty Moore, and Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Pallbearers will be: Randy Johnson, Steve Wells, Sonny Harrell, Jerry McNure, Buddy Aycock, and Terry Strange. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Curtis Coleman, Paul Coleman, Harold Coleman, David Coleman, and Bobby Lewis. She is survived by: Her Husband; Donald Coleman A son; Tony Franklin (Cindy) A daughter; Donna C. Drake (Billy Joe, Jr) Grandchildren; Josie, Jared, and Justin Drake 2 sisters; Mary Fincher, and Julia Shelton The family will receive friends Friday evening between the hours of 7 til 9 pm. at the Funeral Home.
