Barney Melvin Marsh, Jr., age 61 of Swainsboro, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022.  Barney was born in Emanuel County, son of the late Barney Melvin Marsh, Sr. and Betty Jean Daniels Marsh, He was a graduate of David Emanuel Academy, Class of 1978. He had worked in the logging and straw business. Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his parents, son Dwayne Marsh, sister Martha Collins, and a brother- Tommy Marsh.   Barney was a member of Nunez Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. from Nunez Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Harrell officiating. Pallbearers will be:Ryan Kersey, Keith Slater, Alan Lumbley, Ron Claxton ,Newt Irvin, and Courtney Terwilliger. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddy Mason, the Akridge brothers,  Ronnie Camp and Wayne Camp. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery . The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Wednesday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.
