Mr. "Barney" Eugene Holt, 77, resident of Stapleton,Georgia, died Tuesday evening at his residence.  Barney was born in Dublin,Georgia  son of the late Barney Holt and Ola Mae Martin Holt.  Barney was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Holt.   He  had  retired  as a mail clerk  with the United States Postal Service after many years of service.  Mr. Holt was a member of Central Baptist Church. Barney  enjoyed supporting his Georgia Bulldogs!

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from Nails Creek Baptist Church, Bartow, Georgia.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home  Friday evening between the hours of 5-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA, 199 Willow Run, Aiken, SC 29801 in memory of Mr. Holt.
