BARBARA ANN PRICE ODOM
Funeral services for Barbara Ann Price Odom, 69, of Swainsboro will be held
Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 11:00 in the chapel of
Tomlinson's Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating. The family
will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior
to the service. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery in Wrightsville. She
passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, October
6,2019 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.
Pallbearers are Travis Neal, Marcus Price III, Tripp Fitzner, Don Wilkes,
Charles Paul, Jimmy Boatright, and Tommy Neal.
Ms. Odom was born July 27, 1950 in Macon to the late Rev. M.F. Price and Mrs.
Esther Harrison Price. She was a graduate of Brewton
Parker College, Tift College,and Georgia Southern University. She had taught in
the public schools of Burke,
Washington, Jefferson, and Emanuel counties. Ms. Odom had been an officer in
the Civil Air Patrol.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Odom was a gifted
vocalist and enjoyed singing at weddings and church
gatherings.
Survivors include a daughter, Hope Nicole Neal(Travis) of Garfield; a
grandson, Layton Lindsey of Garfield; a brother, Marcus Price,Jr.
(Brenda) of Swainsboro; one niece, Jennifer Price Fitzner(Tripp) of Swainsboro;
one nephew, Marcus Price III(Tabatha) of Warner Robins;
three great nephews, Nathan Price of Warner Robins, Song and Elic Fitzner of
Swainsboro; and several cousins and extended family.
